Giving to Cornerstone

When you give to Cornerstone Family Healthcare, a 501 c 3 non-profit community health center, you become a member of our family of dedicated physicians, skilled health care professionals, and community leaders who make it possible for a family lacking health insurance to see a doctor and get the care they need. One in three Orange County residents do not have adequate access to primary health care, resulting in far too many people being at risk of illnesses that can easily be prevented through early detection and medical treatment.

Every Tooth Counts; Drive for A Mobile Dental Van

In honoring our mission of providing quality, comprehensive, primary and preventative health care, the health center is looking to grow with a Mobile Dental Van.
This van would help conquer two obstacles: cost and accessibility. Many individuals in our community do not have the funds to cover dental visits so they simply stop going. Access to transportation is a major problem in our community; those who need and want to go to the dentist are not able to because they physically cannot get there.

Along with our mobile health unit, a mobile dental van would greatly expand our health services offered. A fully equipped unit would help provide so many with high quality dental care.
“It’s a state of the art dental office on wheels,” Dr. Alban Burke, Chief of Dental, said.
Regular dental visits are important because they help to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Up to 30% of uninsured emergency room visits could have been better treated in a dental office. These visits cost, on average, three times as much as a routine dental visit. Dental ER visits could be avoided all together, if patients saw a dentist on a regular basis.

We are only $33,450 away from our goal of $200,000 which will allow us to start the production and purchase of the Mobile Dental Van.

Please consider giving your neighbors the gift of health.

Annual Fund

Your Annual Fund gift helps the health center by providing unrestricted funds that may be used whenever and wherever there is a need in our organization. These gifts help the health center continue to fund current programs that are essential to the health of our community, purchase new technology, implement training and education programs, and meet crucial needs as they arise.

Matching Gifts

Your contributions have an even greater impact through an employee matching gift program. Many corporations sponsor matching gift programs through which they will match the charitable financial commitments of their employees.

If your employer has a matching gift program, obtain a matching gift application form from your human resources or personnel department. Many corporations also have this form available on their website.

Fill out the matching gift application form and send it to:

Cornerstone Family Healthcare
2570 Route 9W, Suite 10
Cornwall, NY 12518
Attn: Vice President of Marketing & Development

Your employer will send the matching gift to the health center, sometimes doubling or tripling the amount of your contribution!

Major Gifts

Many individuals seek creative and meaningful ways to show public support to our health center; honor a family name, or memorialize a loved one. Gifts of all sizes may be unrestricted or designated for a special project to help deliver the highest standards of care to our patients by creating new initiatives, upgrading current programs, or renovating and expanding our facilities. We are always available to discuss the appropriate designation for your gift and will help to identify opportunities that meet your particular needs and interests.

Expansion Campaign

We ask that you take a leading role in building our region’s economic health and well-being by becoming an investor in a solution to our health care crises. Our center offers a meaningful and lasting way to recognize donors. Named gifts can pay tribute to or memorialize a family, a mentor, friend, or business. They tighten the bonds of the community and transform a material building into a place of personal significance.

Planned Giving

As you plan your estate giving, please consider the health center as a beneficiary. Planned gifts provide an opportunity to leave a meaningful legacy in support of the health center. You can make a planned gift in the following ways:

  • Including the health center in your will (tax deduction applicable).
  • Making a gift of a charitable annuity or charitable trust.
  • Having an individual retirement account (IRA) or a paid in full life insurance policy.
